Youth Orchestra
Making music, fun and friendship for string students — now in our 40th year.
Since 1985 the Spencer Brook Youth Orchestra has offered string students the opportunity to make music in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Recent repertoire has included works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Duke Ellington, and compositions commissioned just for the group. Saturday morning rehearsals are led by our conductor, Paul Leder.
Junior Orchestra
Typically grades 3–6.
Saturdays 9:00 – 10:00
$410.00 per year
Senior Orchestra
Typically grades 7–12.
Saturdays 10:15 – 11:30
$480.00 per year
No audition required. Placement is determined by a conversation about playing level, or the teacher’s recommendation. Rehearsals are at our shop, 7 Nason Street, Maynard. We perform two concerts each year, in December and May. Single-semester memberships and scholarships are available.
