Saturday morning orchestra rehearsals will resume on October 4th!
Our 40th year
Since 1985 the Spencer Brook Youth Orchestra has offered string students the opportunity to make music in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Recent repertoire has included works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Duke Ellington, and compositions commissioned just for the group. The Saturday morning rehearsals are led by our conductor, Paul Leder.
Groups for younger and advanced students:
- Junior Orchestra: Typically for students in grades 3-6.
- Senior Orchestra: Typically for students in grades 7-12.
An audition is not required. Placement is determined by a conversation about playing level or the teacher’s recommendation.
Rehearsal Schedule
- Saturday mornings at our shop: 7 Nason Street, Maynard, MA
- Junior Orchestra: 9:00 – 10:00
- Senior Orchestra: 10:15 – 11:30
Tuition and Performances
- We perform two concerts each year (December and May).
- Tuition:
- Junior Orchestra: $410.00 per year
- Senior Orchestra: $480.00 per year
- Single-semester memberships and scholarships are available.
