Spencer Brook Youth Orchestra
The concert will be held at the church, in the main sanctuary - a beautiful space.
On Sunday, the Senior Orchestra will have a one hour warm-up rehearsal, in the sanctuary. This begins at 4:30 . We try to stop promptly at 5:30 to allow a full hour for relaxation and pizza before the concert. It is important that everyone arrive before 4:30 so that we can stay with this schedule. Also important: bring $5.00 for pizza!
Junior Orchestra members should arrive a few minutes after 6:00 for tuning, etc.
Concert dress: we don't have a concert uniform, but performers should dress as for a formal occasion - which it is, of course!
Look nice, people! So: no t-shirts, sweat-shirts, sweat-pants, ripped stuff, mini-skirts, fabrics printed with advertising or slogans, shoes with cleats, sneakers, white socks, flip-flops, jeans, baseball caps...
Please bring some simple cookies/baked item/fruit for the short post-concert reception.

Since 1985 the Spencer Brook Youth Orchestra has provided young musicians the opportunity to make music together, in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. The Spencer Brook program is based in Concord, MA. Rehearsals are held on Saturdays, under the direction of our conductor, Paul Leder. Junior Orchestra meets from 9:00-10:00 AM; Senior Orchestra meets from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM at Trinity Episcopal church, 81 Elm Street, Concord MA 01742. Orchestra will begin on October 3rd, 2009.
